Ken Spears, co-maker of the notable animation “Scooby-Doo,” kicked the bucket Friday at age 82.
His demise was affirmed Monday to Variety by his child Kevin, who said he kicked the bucket of difficulties from Lewy body dementia.
“Ken will always be associated with his mind, his narrating, his dependability to family, and his solid hard working attitude,” Kevin Spears told Variety. “Ken has not just established a long term connection with his family, however, he has contacted the lives of numerous as co-maker of ‘Scooby-Doo.’ Ken has been a good example for us for the duration of his everyday routine and he will keep on encountering on in our souls.”
The senior Spears made the energized show “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!” in 1969 with illustrator and composing accomplice Joe Ruby, who kicked the bucket simply this August at age 87.
