Aaron Clark allegedly used a concealed Apple Watch to send threatening messages to his ex even after being apprehended.A Philadelphia guy allegedly drove to his ex’s house on Sunday, Dec. 4, the day after he and his fiancée split up, and set it on fire. An affidavit of probable cause states that the woman was not home at the time, but that her younger sister, who was wheelchair-dependent and had cerebral palsy, was killed because she was unable to flee the fire.
A few hours later, 30-year-old Aaron Clark was taken into custody. He is currently facing numerous counts of murder, arson, stalking, and other offenses in connection with the Darby Township fire that claimed the life of 20-year-old Olivia Drasher. In addition to Drasher’s nurse, two relatives
“He was aware that his sister was inside the building and would be helpless to escape the flames. I have had to look into some truly horrific acts, but this is the most heinous one “At a recent press conference, Darby Township Police Chief Mike Sousa made the accusation.
The Delaware County District Attorney, Jack Stollsteimer, also spoke at the conference and stated, “This is all about intimate partner violence… carried to the utmost degree conceivable.” He made an attempt on the lives of four people because one of their relatives no longer wished to be romantically engaged.
Amira Rogers, his ex-girlfriend, and he both worked for the US Postal Service, and the day before the fire, Rogers complained about Clark to the Postal Inspection Service. The probable cause affidavit states that she claimed he tried to choke her that morning when she told Clark that their relationship was over.
According to the complaint, Clark is accused of sending Rogers a number of menacing texts prior to Sunday’s tragic firing. Along with that, he allegedly texted, “Pick up before I do something crazy, hope you don’t miss the show,” threatening to post pornographic images of her on social media.
A short while after the fire at Rogers’ house started on Sunday night, Clark is said to have been captured on security tape leaving his ex-residence. girlfriend’s A neighbor reported seeing Clark allegedly hurl something with a “orange light” towards the home to the authorities.
Three people managed to get away, but they were unable to free Drasher. According to the affidavit, the flames and smoke were too severe to approach by the time the firefighters arrived. Drasher died from thermal body burns and smoke and soot inhalation, according to an autopsy.
According to Stollsteimer, afterwards, “Mr. Clark was unhappy over her older sister breaking up with him, so [Drasher] was in this house, unable to move, unable to communicate, while her body is being fried and as she’s choking to death because of the smoke.”
Stollsteimer claimed that even after Clark’s arrest, the suspect kept texting his ex-girlfriend in a menacing manner. According to Stollsteimer, Clark sent a text message to Rogers while in the holding cell using an Apple Watch he had concealed inside his rectum, “simply so he could further bring it home to this woman, what he did to her.”
When the police removed the watch, Clark allegedly became “combative” and attempted to spit on them.
