A man charged with multiple felonies in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was taken into custody in Stafford County, Virginia, on Thursday, deputies said.
A man charged with multiple felonies in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was taken into custody in Stafford County, Virginia, on Thursday, deputies said.
In a news release, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said 35-year-old Melvin Anibal Duran Flores, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, was arrested on Dec. 29 on kidnapping, assault, false imprisonment and firearms-related charges.
Officers said that Duran Flores was spotted in Spotsylvania County and tracked by Detective J.G. Wright III, in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Service. Once his vehicle crossed into Stafford County on the Blue and Gray Parkway, it was pinned.
Duran Flores was arrested on a warrant and charged as a fugitive from justice at the time of his arrest.
