Where is Shonese Fitzpatrick? Alabama mother missing with kids after video post about ‘ending it right now’

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA: A woman has gone missing with her children after posting a disturbing video on Facebook. Police in Birmingham is searching for Shonese Fitzpatrick and her kids who reportedly went missing. The 32-year-old streamed a live video on her Facebook page on Tuesday, October 27, before she disappeared along with the children. A press release from the police stated that the video hinted that Fitzpatrick might harm herself. “Investigators believe Fitzpatrick has her children with her and is concerned for their safety,” the media release stated. It also mentioned that “At approximately 12:00 p.m., officers from East Precinct responded to a residence located in the 6000 block of Georgia Road to conduct a welfare check on Shonese Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick was not at the residence when officers arrived. Family members of Fitzpatrick alerted officers of a disturbing social media video indicating Fitzpatrick may harm herself.”

According to PEOPLE, the 54-minute video was posted by Fitzpatrick on the social media site with a caption that read: “F— it. I’m out.” In the clip, the woman was heard saying, “I want to start by saying I love my kids. I really do….but I’m trying not to blow my brains out,” as she showed a gun. A child’s voice was also heard in the background of the video. Fitzpatrick went on to say: “This year has me really f—ed up. I just want to do it and get it over with. I’m tired on every level. I just want to end it right now. I don’t want to do this no more.” She was also seen cocking the gun while sobbing and complaining about people who hurt the feelings of women. “I’m tired of losing. I’m tired of struggling with my kids. I don’t want to do this no more. I’m so sorry,” she added.

The video also showed Fitzpatrick’s cell phone continuously vibrating because of the incoming calls she was getting. She was also seen declining one of those calls. Ten minutes later, the woman was not seen in front of the camera, but the video was on. Some of her family members saw the post and informed the police about it. Nearly after 40 minutes into the video, several police officers were seen inside the house of Fitzpatrick looking for her and her kids. But they found no one. “She’s not here. The bullets are still here on the table,” one officer said. Another one added: “I don’t see any babies.”

Police have said in the press release that Fitzpatrick “is known to drive a 2010 Silver Chrysler Sebring Tag Number 1DP291,” as they added, “If there is anyone who has information pertaining to the whereabouts of Shonese Fitzpatrick, please contact the Birmingham Police Department at 205-297-84313 or 911. If you have additional information on this investigation, contact Crime [email protected] 205-254-7777.”

In another incident, the SUV of a mother from Florida, who disappeared in September, has been found submerged in a retention pond in east Orange County. Police have also found a body inside the vehicle, but have not confirmed that it was of Stephanie Hollingsworth. The mother-of-three sons went missing on September 25 after leaving her Belle Isle home at around 2 pm to run errands.
