Police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl, who saved the lives of her father and brother when she called 911 on her deranged mother Tuesday night.
According to ABC15, Natalie Gulizia and her father, Mike Gulizia, returned to their Washington home to find the mother and ex-wife Svetlana Laurel with a Taser.
The divorced mother-of-two allegedly used a Taser on her ex and proceeded to zip tie him.
As KIRO7 reports, court documents say Laurel “drew a pistol” and told her ex that “she was going to shoot him because he had ruined her life.”
Officials say Laurel was let into the home by the former couple’s 12-year-old son. She zip-tied him prior to the rest of the family’s arrival.
During her mother’s meltdown, Natalie ran upstairs and dialed 911 to get help.

As ABC15 reports, during the 911 call, an operator heard a woman say, “You called 911!” and “blow your head off.” She also heard the sound of zip ties, screaming and a loud bang.
The Renton Police Department released a statement saying:
During the dispute, the mother confronted the daughter, while she was on the phone with 911, and then fatally shot her. Initial indications are that there was a recent child custody issue where the mother had lost custody of her children.
As Daily Mail reports, Laurel went back to Gulizia and tried to shoot him, but he was able to escape when the gun malfunctioned.
The police report states:
The gun failed to fire, with Svetlana struggling to clear the malfunction in the pistol. Michael rammed Svetlana into the wall with his shoulder, and was able to grab the pistol. At that point, the officers arrived and ordered everyone out of the house.
As ABC15 reports, when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Natalie with a bullet wound to the head. Her brother was found tied up in another room with a sock stuffed in his mouth.
Laurel has been booked on charges of first-degree murder and was denied bail.
