A high school family and consumer sciences teacher is in hot water with the police.
As Fox 10 reports 50-year-old Mark Ackett allegedly filmed students undressing at the Bloomingdale Senior High School in Valrico, Florida.
However, this is not his first arrest in connection to the crime. He is now facing multiple charges.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation at the school in September after a student found two cell phones hidden in one of the classrooms.
Of the two phones found, one of them was actively recording video at the exact moment the student discovered it.
After the student told school administrators about her discovery, they then notified the police.
During the investigation, Ackett was named the prime suspect and later arrested on September 11. He was originally charged with one count of video voyeurism, however, he was released after posting his $7,500 bond the next day.
The investigation continued as authorities performed a forensic analysis on the phones and made shocking discoveries.
The phones contained 267 videos and photos of girls undressing. The girls’ ages ranged from 14 to 18 years old, according to WFTS.
The new discoveries brought on several more charges against Ackett. He was charged with 353 charges: 267 counts of video voyeurism, 73 counts of production of harmful material of a minor, and 13 counts of possession of child pornography.
He subsequently turned himself in and was arrested again on October 22.
