Madge Britton (Clare Burt) has already been discovered to be the Holby City Mole, and in tonight’s episode Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) confronts her, telling her he knows she’s one who’s been passing information to Regina Marriott (Karen Ascoe) about all the things that have gone wrong at the hospital.
But we’ve also known for some time that there’s something wrong in Madge’s life, too. Tonight Kylie (Amy Murphy) sees Madge arriving at work, in the middle of a massive argument with her husband. Madge seems scared and in pain, and when she later collapses, Kylie is certain that her husband has been abusing her.
As Kylie tries desperately to help, she risks making the situation worse for Madge. And can the team save Madge’s life when she needs emergency surgery?
Meanwhile, Sacha (Bob Barrett) and Dominic (David Ames) have made a huge breakthrough in their research project, but back on the wards Dominic is feeling disillusioned. He goes for a job interview at a swanky private hospital, and runs into two faces from the past while he’s there. Is Dominic going to be the next person to jump from the apparently sinking ship of Holby into the more lucrative world of private medicine?
Russ (Simon Slater) tries to get his head around being a granddad to Billie (Delainey Hayles)’s baby Denver, Billie herself is worried that she mightn’t be able to cope with a new baby.
Russ’s focus seems to be entirely on the baby and he doesn’t realise that Billie needs his support, too. And is he ready to forgive Henrik (Guy Henry) for not telling him that Billie was pregnant?
And Amelia (Lucy Briggs-Owen) is feeling desolate after giving Juliet back to Nicky (Belinda Owusu) and is blaming Eli (Davood Ghadami) for the decision.
Can she find a way to accept her situation and save her relationship with her husband?
