Just a week after Jenelle Evans’ husband allegedly shot and killed her French Bulldog, she has been fired from “Teen Mom 2,” MTV confirmed.
A spokesperson from the network told TMZ that they cut all ties with Evans, who allegedly earned a six-figure salary from the show.
The MTV spokesperson said:
“We have stopped with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season. MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has [not] filmed any new episodes of ‘Teen Mom 2’ with him since.”
A source told TMZ that the decision was made to fire Evans from the show after her husband, David Eason, allegedly beat and shot her dog for nipping at their 2-year-old, Ensley.
Last week, authorities and animal control opened a joint investigation into potential animal cruelty. Though he’s currently not facing any charges.
Evans’ co-star, Kailyn Lowry, spoke out on Instagram following the incident. She expressed concern for Evans’ safety and condemned Eason’s actions. She wrote:
I have refrained from commenting on the disturbing situation involving David Eason and Jenelle Evans while I wrapped my head around the murder of Nugget.
To say I am disgusted and appalled over David’s actions doesn’t begin to touch on my true feelings. Being the owner of dogs myself, I am heartbroken and sickened by what happened to Nugget.

Lowry added:
I hope that Jenelle and her children are safe and take the necessary steps to get the help that is clearly needed.
Nugget’s death, Evans said that she was considering a divorce from her husband but that “nothing [was] finalized,” Dearly reported.
Eason was already fired from the show last year for allegedly making homophobic comments. He wasn’t included in any of the recent episodes featuring his wife.
Evans has not responded publicly to her firing.
