Social media star Bree Lenehan has flaunted her ‘real’ curves in gym wear after she decided to ditch self-loathing.
The Australian influencer is known for sharing body positive posts with her 561,000 followers.
And her latest post is no different, as Bree promoted self-love to her fans.
She told them in an emotional statement that she used to ‘look at her body negatively’ when she was younger and said she spent years yo-yo dieting.
However, the brunette, says she’s not come to accept her curves.
She wrote: “For my younger sister who is a spitting image of me when I was younger, who I hope will never punish her body or fill her mind with unkind thoughts.
“My future children, who will grow up hearing their mother speak kindly toward herself and be encouraged to do the same.
“For those who come to this safe corner of the internet, to know that you are not alone and that you are sooo much more than a body.
“I’m doing this for every version of myself to come… The pregnant me, the postpartum me, the me that is a busy mum, the 70-year-old me and the me that I’ll leave behind in this world.
“This body is ever-changing. I won’t subject myself to a lifetime of self-loathing or hiding myself… I am learning every day to accept myself, for every version of me to come.”
She continued: “Whenever you have a day of struggle, a moment where you feel you might relapse into old negative habits/thoughts/actions… Think about the bigger picture. You’ve got this.”
To document how she’s come to accept herself, Bree shared side-by-side photos.
The one on the left saw her hiding any perceived ‘flaws’, by breathing in and posing from a good angle.
While in the photo on the right, she relaxed to let her ‘real’ body free as she posed in various sports bras and leggings.
Fans were loving the post, with it racking up more than 33,000 likes.
One exclaimed: “This is beautiful, we speak to ourselves the most out of everyone.”
While another gushed: “I love this, thank you.”
A third follower also commented to say that they found the post “so inspiring”.
Her comments come after Bree previously spoke out to admit she hid her body from her boyfriend for four years as she was too self-conscious to undress in front of him.
