David Hasselhoff pulled out the guns to promote getting jabbed.
The “Baywatch” alum, in conjunction with the German Health Ministry, released a video promoting the COVID-19 vaccination so life could get “back to normal.”
“I, David Hasselhoff, am supposedly a hero because of ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Night Rider’ and the Berlin Wall, but I found freedom with vaccination,” the 68-year-old actor, flexing his band-aid covered bicep, says in the promo video.
“With vaccination, you can, too.”
The “Click” actor closed out the video by saying, “Hoff off.”
Hasselhoff is hardly the first celebrity to promote the jab. In early May, Global Citizen hosted a star-studded Vax Live concert in Los Angeles. Among the attendees was Prince Harry, who told the crowd vaccinations were essential.
“The vaccine must be distributed to everyone everywhere,” the Duke of Sussex said at the concert.
“We cannot rest or truly recover until there is fair distribution to every corner of the world,” he said. “The virus does not respect borders and access to the vaccine cannot be determined by geography.”
In a pre-taped message that aired during the concert, President Biden insisted that “the vaccines are safe. I promise you. They work.”
“We’re working with leaders around the world to share more vaccines and boost production to make sure every country has the vaccines they need,” said the president, accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden.
“If we get this done, we won’t have to miss another moment.”
