CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE: Robert Hallick from Tennessee was arrested last Thursday for an illegal gun permit application. The Chattanooga man reportedly forged former President Barack Obama’s name on a handgun permit application, according to reports. He is accused of using ‘President Barack H. Obama’ after usage of his real name on the form saw the permit being denied for the first time last year. CHARLOTTE, MICHIGAN: Police found the dead body of former US Olympics women’s gymnastics coach John Geddert, who was earlier on February 25 charged with 20 counts of human trafficking and forced labor, one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, racketeering, and lying to a police officer. Geddert was the former owner of Michigan’s famed Twistars Gymnastics Club, one of the places Larry Nassar, the disgraced former gymnastics physician, had admitted to sexually abusing young female athletes. ROCHESTER, NEW YORK: Two teenagers in New York have been charged with murder, assault and arson in connection to the death of a mentally ill man, whom they set on fire in his home. It was reported that the two, aged 14 and 16, had sneaked into the home of the man, identified as Steven Amenhauser, on Lyell Avenue near Murray Street on Friday afternoon. SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK: A police officer was brutally stabbed by a 25-year-old suspect in Patchogue, Suffolk County in New York, after the officer spotted his car for erratic driving. Columbus police revealed the body camera footage of the shooting of a 16-year-old girl by a police officer just hours after the incident took place on the Southeast Side. SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS: Springfield Police Department in Illinois has released the bodycam footage of an incident from April 2020, where a distraught father can be seen desperately begging police to return an urn with his dead daughter’s ashes. Dartavius Barnes was held by police at a traffic stop on suspicion of drug possession. A desperate search is on to locate a 39-year-old Los Angeles woman who went to Ohio for a ‘spiritual welfare’ conference last month in April but never returned home. Lindy Kidd was last seen on April 23, 2021, when her fiance booked a Lyft for her. POWESHIEK, IOWA: In July 2018, 20-year-old Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts was abducted near her home and her body was found a month later. In what seemed like an open-and-shut case, farmworker Cristhian Bahena Rivera was arrested in connection with the case and charged. OKLAHOMA:  A routine traffic stop in Oklahoma last week saw a 65-year-old grandmother allegedly kick a police officer in the groin after she was pulled over for having a broken taillight. An inmate suspected in the death of a Tennessee prison officer escaped from prison on a tractor while working on the home grounds of the officer. Debra Johnson, 64, was found dead at her home on the prison grounds three hours after Curtis Ray Watson, 44, bolted from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary on August 7, Daily Mail reported.  Johnson was a 38-year veteran employee of Tennesse state and served in various positions including deputy warden and warden.
