Rapper Bow Wow and his on-and-off girlfriend face battery charges following their arrest in Atlanta on Saturday.
As WSB-TV reports, police arrived at the Atlanta home around 4:15 a.m. on Saturday after the “The Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” couple had gotten into a physical altercation.
According to TMZ, the conflict arose after the former rapper, whose legal name is Shad Moss, and Leslie ‘Kiyomi’ Holden returned home from a party.
The couple agrees that Moss was upset Holden was involving herself with another man during the party.

While Holden says she and the man were talking, Moss told officers she “disrespected him” by hanging “all over another man’s body.”
In the police report, Holden says the Ohio native hit her in the head, pulled her by the hair, dragged her from her bedroom and told her to get the hell out, TMZ says.
In contrast, Moss claims he only asked Holden to leave the home and put her bags at the door, but she called him out his name and “grabbed a night stand lamp and threw it at him.”
She also managed to scratch up the 31-year-old’s face.
An officer on the scene says he saw the lamp on the ground when he entered the bedroom, TMZ says. Further, officers reportedly observed red marks on Leslie’s fingers as well as broken fingernails.
All jokes aside details are sparse but while everyone is clowning Bow Wow, Domestic Violence seems to be a issue that’s only taken serious when the abuser is a male and not the female. That narrative has to stop. #Bowwow #POV pic.twitter.com/JoOAGQzV84

Officers who arrested Moss and Holden, said they “were unable to determine the primary aggressor of the altercation, so both parties” were charged with battery.
Later that day, they were both released on an $8,000 bond.
Moss’ release, his lawyer released a statement regarding the incident.
According to WSB-TV, the statement said:
Shad Bow Wow Moss was wrongfully arrested earlier this morning for the first time after being beaten by an out of control intoxicated female, Ms. Leslie Holden, in an Atlanta condominium. The only two independent witnesses both corroborated his version of events indicating that Ms. Holden was simply out of control and was without a doubt the primary aggressor. For no logical reason officers arrested both parties despite having clear-cut evidence that Bow Wow was the victim in the case. Ms. Holden beat him with a lamp, bit him on his side, and spit on him while Bow Wow continually made efforts to avoid her. Bow Wow suffered multiple injuries, some of which are visible in his mugshot. Ms. Holden’s mugshot on the other hand speaks for itself, despite her allegation to police that she broke a fingernail.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) reports that one in three women and one in four men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This violence includes a range of behaviors like slapping, shoving, and pushing.
Further, the NCADV reports that an average of 20 people per minute are being physically abused by an intimate partner.
Since his release, Moss has shared videos on social media of him participating in Super Bowl festivities. In contrast, there has not yet been a statement or post from Holden.
