Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, better known as Halsey, was only 14 when she picked up the guitar and fell in love with songwriting and music. While attending community college, the singer began posting song covers on YouTube, gaining traction online. Halsey reached a bigger fanbase through SoundCloud by releasing her original music that earned her immense popularity. The song Gasoline is double platinum, while Hold Me Down and Control are platinum, and Yong God and Drive are gold statuses, as noted by Variety. From her second album, the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, three tracks have reached certifications: Bad At Love with five times platinum, Now Or Never as three times platinum, and Walls Could Talk is certified gold.
Her third album Manic was a career milestone for her as the album debuted at the No. 1 spot on Billboard. Her smashing hit Without Me is now seven times platinum, and Graveyard and You Should Be Sad has also achieved platinum certification. While Halsey has spent most of her time focusing on music, she also likes to make minor appearances in movies. The star made a special appearance in the 2018 box office topping romance movie A Star Is Born, starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Halsey portrayed herself, presenting a Grammy Award at the awards ceremony. The movie made $436.2 million worldwide. She recently lent her voice in the 2021 movie Sing 2, which has a stellar cast of actors, including Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Taron Egerton, and Scarlett Johansson. Halsey voices the character, Porsha Crystal, a spoiled but talented wolf. The movie was well-received in the theater, making $218.3 million worldwide.

Halsey combined her love for music and cinema when she treated her fans to a visual journey of her fourth album. She wrote and starred in Halsey: If I Can’t Have Love I Want Power, an HBO Max movie that featured music from her fourth studio album of the same title and showed Halsey as a young pregnant Queen Lila. According to Billboard, the film was released in IMAX theaters after the album was released, earning $1 million at the box office, and later HBO Max acquired its rights to release it online.
Brand Endorsements
A singer known to speak her truth with the audience, Halsey has become a sought-after figure for brand endorsements over the years. She has become the face of many brands, from the beauty industry to food and beverages. One of her first notable partnerships was with the beauty giant MAC Cosmetics when it joined hands with the singer for the Future Forward Collaborations. The brand has gained popularity with its fans by creating a conversation about building self-confidence by using innovative products. Her brand sells products in the eye, lip, and face care categories. In April 2021, she launched the Daytripper Collection in About-Face that introduced new and colorful shades of eye paint and lipgloss that have a starting price of $20, as reported by Elle. The collection was inspired by 1970s music festivals that had playful color styles.
