Two youngster young ladies stole at gunpoint in Louisiana had the option to fend off their aggressor by causing an auto collision. The unidentified young ladies, ages 14 and 15, were strolling back from a Dollar General store in Springfield when a man in an SUV moved toward them Friday night, news station WBRZ detailed.
The man — whom cops later recognized as 39-year-old Albert Lavigne — purportedly constrained them at gunpoint into the vehicle, where a battle resulted as he drove away, the outlet detailed.
The youngsters continued snatching the directing wheel, inevitably making the auto accident a couple of miles away in Tangipahoa, the outlet announced. “We battled for the wheel for some time and I at last won and jolted it,” the 14-year-old young lady told the news station.
They hit two vehicles all the while, she and her companion left, running for help and two people they met on their way handled the hijacker. Both of the young ladies — and the charged kidnapper — were brought to the medical clinic for wounds, news station WWL-TV revealed.
Lavigne was arrested on extraordinary warrants after he was delivered from the medical clinic, the outlet revealed. He will be moved to the Livingston Parish Detention Center, where he will be set up for two checks of second-degree abducting, as indicated by The Advocate. “This is a fantastic result,” the 14-year-old’s dad, Phillip Pigott, told WBRZ. She made a note on the escape and told about how lucky she was, given the circumstances.
