COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Richland County deputies are searching for a man and a woman wanted for shoplifting.
Officials with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said the two suspects walked into Kent’s Korner Store located at 2220 Broad River Road. After entering the store, authorities said the woman distracted the store clerk while the man went behind the counter, placed his hands down his pants as if he was grabbing something, and took cartons of cigarettes. It is unclear how many cartons were stolen.
When the store clerk finds the man behind the counter, he motions as if he has a gun. The man tells the store clerk she didn’t “want any of this” before leaving from behind the counter. The man and woman left the store in a light-colored four-door sedan and drove away in an unknown direction.
Officials said the man was wearing a black hoodie with the word “SOX” on the front and the number 8 on the back. The woman was also wearing a dark-colored hoodie.
