A 44-year-old woman of Venice went missing on September 30, leaving her cell phone and wallet at home. Husband Christian Rieker said he woke up at 6 am till then her wife disappeared and saw his green Nissan Xterra was also gone.
The authorities were investigating with the Sarasota County Sheriff’s office and North Port Police Department when on October 10 they found the green Nissan Xterra submerged inside a pond in the Toscana Isles subdivision in Venice.
“Inside the vehicle was a deceased female, believed to be that of Tracey Lynn Rieker, 44, missing from her Venice home since September 30”, said Venice Police Department on Facebook. Police are taking the case as a traffic homicide. The family members are sure that Rieker won’t drive her intentionally into the water.
On October 6, Christian admitted he noticed some different behavior of his wife, before she went missing. Jennifer Irvine, their spokesperson for the Rieker family said That Tracery had been keeping Fast for religious purposes.
The case is still in process as there is no sign of suspect, the authority has not released any further information.
