Kailey Chambers, daughter of Holly Suzanne Courtier, 38, told CNN affiliate KCAL that Holly was last seen on October 6 on a shuttle into the Utah park. Her travel plans were unknown, a press release from Zion park says, but both park rangers and therefore the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are investigating her whereabouts.
Holly had been travelling the country during a converted van, after losing her job as a nanny during the pandemic, Chambers said. Courtier is an experienced hiker, has hiked alone before, and is conversant in Zion, her daughter said.
Unless a replacement tip is given about Courtier’s whereabouts, Tuesday is that the Judgment Day park rangers will continue searching, Chambers said. Still, friends and family will continue searching.
“I don’t care if I’m the sole person on the trail trying to find her, I’m not getting to stop until I find her,” Chambers told KCAL. “I know she wouldn’t quit on me, so I refuse to give up on her.”
CNN reached bent a spokesperson for Zion park, who was unable to supply any updated information.
Currently, the Park Service has quite 20 cold cases involving missing persons in national parks.
