In these highly partisan times, it’s important to remember that there are two sides to every story and nothing proves that more than this heartb-reaking tale. Chrissy Marie, from California, woke up one morning to discover that one of her butterfly wind chimes was missing from her garden. The next day however she received this heartb-reaking note on her door along with five crumpled dollars.
The note read: I am sorry that we st-ole your wind chimes. Our mom d-ied and liked butterflies, so my sister took it and put it by our window. I am sorry this is only money I have please do not be mad. Jake.
Moved by the absolutely heart-wrenching note (I’m welling up just writing about it) Chrissy posted that she’s not mad as she’s got three of those chimes, that both Jake and his sister can have one chime each and get their money back.
Chrissy then set out to try and find Jake, knocking on a few doors around the neighborhood and asking her landlord if there were any Jakes in the neighborhood.
Unfortunately, there are apparently a lot of Jakes around making finding the right one a particularly tricky challenge,
In an attempt to try and find Jake, Chrissy has even set up a Facebook group called ‘Jakes Butterfly’.
She wrote: So I have created this group after the numerous requests that we have one place that I can update everyone and that Jake whomever he might be or wherever he is can see positive comments to him. There is too much negativity on the web and I am worried about him being scared and embarrassed. I do not want that.
Why can’t more stories be this adorable?
