On October 17, a woman identified as Keairra Woods was asked to drop a two-year-old boy off at his dad’s house.
However, as Dearly previously reported, Woods not only dropped the boy off at the wrong house — but as surveillance footage shows — the woman also ran away before anyone had even opened the door.

The footage was made public by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to get help identifying the woman who is now known to be Woods.
Authorities say Woods could face federal charges for the alleged mistake. According to KTRK, the child was left at the father’s neighbor’s house.
Now, the woman speaking out, saying that she is just an innocent bystander who was trying to help out “her best friend’s aunt.” She told KTRK that the “misunderstanding” was the boy’s mother’s fault.
Woods said she had never met the boy’s father or step-mother, and she had never been to their home before:
“I followed the GPS. Mind you, I’m still on the phone with [the boy’s mom], so by the time I get to the house, I sayWell I just pulled up to the house.’ She saidOkay, get out the car, get his bag and go to the door.’”
She continued:
“By the time I get to the door, I ring the doorbell. I still have him in my hand. I say ‘It’s like five cars out here, a red car, a black car, and a white car, and it’s like two rows of cars.’ She said ‘Okay.’
That should have let you know I was at the wrong house then, because you know your baby daddy don’t drive so many cars. Okay, so I ring the doorbell, the lady walks like halfway to the door. That’s when I took off running. And the only reason I took off running was because it was chilly outside and I didn’t have no sweater on, as you can see in the video.”
As KTRK reports, Woods also alleged that she took off running because she thought the woman she saw walking up to open the front door was the boy’s step-mother and she wanted to avoid any sort of interaction with her.
Woods added:
“I just feel destroyed. I just feel destroy cause I love kids. Y’all are just making me look bad. …
I never ran off and just left him there without even seeing if someone came to the door. The lady was halfway to the door.”
Woods said the boy’s mother asked her to drop the two-year-old off at the father’s house because the step-mother has a restraining order against the mother.
According to KTRK, the father told authorities that he had no idea someone was coming to drop off his son. He also admitted that he wasn’t even home at the time of the drop-off.
