This article brings the story of a 17-year-old boy who experienced severe jaw pain and swelling. Given the fact that the local doctors were unable to find the cause of this issue, the boy was sent to a state-run hospital in the Indian city of Mumbai.
During the examination, the doctors discovered many layers of extra teeth in his jaw. This condition was described as a world record and the doctors assumed that it had been caused by a rare tumor.
The surgery was done by a large team of doctors, including Dr. Vandana Thorawade, the leading doctor, two surgeons, and two assistants. The surgery lasted for about 7 hours and at the end of the procedure the doctors removed both the tumor and the extra teeth.
