Study confirms – a group of German experts have conducted a study! In this study they’ve tested 10 pairs of the plastic clogs in all price categories. The lab looked for solvents, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heavy metals. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the footwear are substances consisting mainly of softeners and black color particles. They’re rated as highly carcinogenic. Only 30% of these shoes were free of them, the other 60% contained them. The pollution was especially great in the black clogs. But it can also be in black buttons or straps. The toxic chemical can be inhaled but is also absorbed by the skin.
So, ladies and gentlemen, before you buy Crocs or any of their various knock offs, it is necessary to smell the shoes. A biting or sweet smell is a certain sign that the shoes are loaded with heavy materials. Thank you for your time an don’t forget to share.
