A Texas mom was arrested after confessing to the murder of her four-year-old daughter. On August 24, law enforcement officers were summoned to the home of Krystal Lewandowski. But during the chilling 911 call, Krystal admitted to a horrific crime.
According to police records, the 34-year-old mom called 911 to summon police in the 2100 block of Hurley Avenue in Forth Worth. At first, she claimed that her four-year-old daughter Czara Lewandowski was missing.
Chilling 911 call
However, in the middle of the 911 call, Lewandowski told the operator a chilling confession: “Okay, maybe I should just tell you now. Ok, so last night I was advised to slit her throat.” She then admitted to throwing away the lifeless body of Czara in their backyard the night before, according to Fox 4 News.
Officers who arrived at the scene immediately searched for the body of the little girl. Just as Lewandowski confessed, they discovered Cazara’s bloody remains on the trash can in the family home’s backyard. She was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m.
Lewandowski was under the impression that something sinister would happen to her daughter, so she ‘saved’ her by killing her. According to the affidavit, “something worse would happen to her daughter if Lewandowski didn’t slit her daughter’s throat.”
According to Crime Online, shortly before the discovery of the body, the suspect was immediately arrested and taken into custody. Since her daughter was under 10, Lewandowski was charged with capital murder. Her bail is set at $750,000.
The suspect had another child in the house
Child Protection Services revealed that the family had a history with the agency. However, due to confidentiality reasons, they refused to divulge any more reasons.
During the investigation, law enforcement officers found out that there was another minor living in the household. The victim had another sibling, a 1-year-old boy.
Shortly after the arrest of the mother, the baby was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Fortunately, examination showed no signs of any physical abuse or injuries on the baby boy.
According to CPS records, he is currently not in state custody. In spite of this, they assured them that he will be properly taken care of, True Crime Society reported.
