12-year-old Jada Miller had always heard the phrase “if you see something, say something” but she never thought she would have to put it into practice. It all happened when she saw a few children playing outside in her neighborhood and noticed that one of them, four-year-old Caylee, was being led away by an unfamiliar adult.
Jada had a very bad feeling about this creepy man and immediately jumped up to help. She got up and went running after Caylee and her abductor while another young girl, 13-year-old Trinity Stout, rushed to get Caylee’s parents. Jada was able to catch up to the kidnapper and rip Caylee from his arms. “Caylee was like I’ll be back and then I looked at him and said, ‘no she won’t,’” Jada said.
It was later found out that the 27-year-old man who attempted to abduct Caylee actually lives in the same neighborhood. He is known as Eli or Elijah, but his legal name is actually Benjamin Spasogevich-Lee. Many others in the area have considered him a bit suspicious ever since he moved in.
In the past, neighbors had seen Benjamin doing yoga in his underwear in front of his house while the children were outside. In addition to that, it was reported that he once brought up kidnapping and rape in a conversation with some of the neighborhood kids.
