Pizza Hut locations in the United Kingdom have a new offering on the menu that has a lot of customers retching. The new Christmas pizza was promoted on Instagram and attracted a lot of scorn from customers across the world. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas PIZZA. Succulent rotisserie chicken, crispy bacon, sage and onion stuffing with a red wine gravy base – treat yo’ self to all the trimmings!”
The pizza celebrates the holiday season the British way. It includes many fixings that are popular in the United Kingdom, all wrapped in a delicious cheesy outside.
On Instagram, hundreds of people replied to the pizza photo and recipe with some comments. Some people thought it actually sounded quite delicious.
“For a fast-food viral abomination, this doesn’t sound all that horrific.”
“I’m down for a slice!
“This is what I’ve been waiting for.”
In the end, the internet trolls won out, and the new Pizza Hut Christmas pizza was decidedly an “abominating” by the court of opinion.
Some people simply called the new pizza “gross” and “wrong.” Others added a bit more class to their criticism.
“Very upset about the lack of cranberry sauce and sausages. A poor effort, really,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Pizza really has taken a few bad turns since it left Italy,” another added.
People do not often think about pizza as a Christmas staple. However, Pizza Hut, which has been launching many bizarre pizza recipes over the last few months, thought that it would be good for them to get into the Christmas game. Since people are going to have to cancel many of their holiday plans due to the coronavirus, there could be some individuals who would simply order a pizza from Pizza Hut and enjoy it in quarantine or lockdown.
One person ordered a Christmas pizza from Pizza Hut and shared a photo of the amalgamation on Twitter. Their post was met with a wild response from other people.
“It may be too early for Christmas decorations, but it’s certainly not too early for a Christmas topping pizza,” wrote Twitter user “ChrisOfGilead.”
In response, more than a dozen people replied. The following were some of the thoughts from those who found the pizza shocking.
“That is the poorest made pizza I have seen yet. Take it back.”
“Is this amount of crust the standard in England?””
“I’d rather eat homemade soap than that abomination.”
“Interesting idea, but I would still much prefer the resurrection of the priazzo, Pizza Hut’s greatest creation.”
“Looks like a perfectly normal pizza to me.”
Pizza is a type of food that people which some people have very specific preferences. There are people who refuse to eat anything on a pizza that is not their favorite toppings. However, there are people who are a bit more open when it comes to trying something new on their pizza.
While the Christmas Pizza at Pizza Hut includes “Succulent rotisserie chicken, crispy bacon, sage and onion stuffing with a red wine gravy base,” not everyone is happy with it. Would you give this new creation a try, or do you, like many on the internet, think it is a Christmas abomination?
