Police Department Rewrites Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to Ask for Help Identifying Burglary Suspect

Police are asking for help identifying a Fort Collins, Colorado thief they’re calling “Burglarudolph.”

Fort Collins Police Services posted surveillance footage on Sunday of a woman robbing a local business wearing a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer mask. The department also used the post as an opportunity to rewrite the famous reindeer’s holiday song.

The caption read:

Rudolph the Red Nosed Burglar
Had a very shady scheme
And if you saw the video
It would want to make you scream.

All of the other burglars
Used to steal without disguise
They weren’t like this Rudolph
She’s different from the other guys.

On one foggy December eve
Rudolph came to steal.
Broke into a Hickory shop,
Never expected to see a cop.

Oh how the camera caught her
As she committed burglary
Rudolph the Red Nosed Criminal
We need your help with her I.D.

According to the Detriot Free press, the red-nosed burglar can be seen removing her holiday disguise moments into the footage before placing it back on and rummaging through more things in the store.

The police concluded the post asking for anyone with information to contact them so that they could “notify St. Nick.”

One Twitter user paralleled the fictional reindeer’s story to that of the Burglarudolph.

The tweeter commented:

She’s just a misunderstood misfit… she will find her place in the world… potentially providing red lighting for the county jail.

Other social media users deemed the spirited burglar’s disguise as “hilarious” and “memorable.”
