A corpse was discovered inside a container which was submerged inside a pond by a neighbor who was walking his dog adjacent to a retention pond in Jacksonville on Sunday morning. Tim Anderson, the neighbor who had discovered the body, claimed that,
“I was kind of hoping it wasn’t what I thought it was and it turned out to be. I thought it might’ve been a dummy or something stuck in there because of some kids just playing around or something, but I got up closer and I said, ‘Oh, that looks pretty real to me.’”
Anderson had discovered the body, stuffed halfway inside a plastic dustbin. The authorities deployed divers into the pond who collected the body, where it was assumed that, it was left for probably 24 to 36 hours. Sgt. Steve Rudlaff, who happens to be the Jacksonville Sheriff claimed that, “the man had been shot elsewhere before he was dumped in the container at the site”.
The medical reports have revealed that the deceased was 43-years-old, but refused to reveal any further personal details, as a brand new state law prevents them from doing so. The authorities have asserted that an investigation is ongoing assuming that the death was a murder.
