The death of a baby girl whose body was found by men fishing near the Florida coast is being investigated.
Fox News reports, Palm Beach County investigators have ruled the death a homicide.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the newborn known as “Baby June” was discovered by an off-duty firefighter. The fishermen thought they saw a doll but pulled a baby from the water back in June.

According to a press conference on Monday, the sheriff’s office asked people for information on “Baby June” to come forward and is offering a $10,000 reward.
So far, the department has only received 16 tips that have not provided any major conclusions. Detectives are puzzled and are still trying to understand the basics of the case.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Capt. Steven Stravelli said the autopsy results are incomplete and police have not determined how the baby died and how long she had been in the water.
It’s possible the child was brought to the area by a boat bringing illegal immigrants from Haiti, Cuba, or countries near the southern border. Stravelli said:
“We have actually tried our best to identify the nationality of the child, but we cannot rule out any one.”
The baby was no more than 14 days old. According to officials, the child is likely black, multiracial, or Hispanic but “could have been Caucasian with dark skin. She wore no clothing,” reports TC Palm.
According to Fox, Strivelli said:
“We hate seeing this and we want to get to the bottom of what happened. We’re not going to stop here. This case is not going to close until we get completion.”
Strivelli added:
“Some hospital, somewhere, has evidence of this child being born. We just haven’t found it yet.”
The child has not been buried and will remain in the medical examiner’s office while the investigation is pending.
