The twisted man who abducted, raped, and murdered a 10-year-old girl has been executed by lethal injection. Keith Dwayne Nelson was the fifth convicted criminal to be put to death in Indiana after a 17-year hiatus of the death penalty in the state. He was injected with a lethal dose of pentobarbital in the Department of Justice’s execution chamber in Terre Haute and was declared dead at 4:32 p.m., CNN reports.1. He later admitted to raping and strangling her with a wire.

4. NELSON HAD NO LAST WORDS.He was asked by a prison official if he had any final words before his execution, but Nelson responded with silence. He showed no emotion and said no words, and the official waited 15 seconds before proceeding. Nelson was pronounced dead roughly nine minutes after he received the injection.
