Former “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Eason and her husband, David Eason, have temporarily lost custody of their three children after heading to court.
The decision comes after David allegedly beat and shot Jenelle’s dog late last month while the children — Jace, 9, Kaiser, 4, and Ensley, 2, — were in their care.
On Tuesday, Kaiser’s father, Nathan Griffith, reportedly testified against the couple, alleging that they were a danger to the kids, TMZ reports.
Griffith’s testimony allegedly helped influence the judge’s decision to temporarily remove the three children until Jenelle and David complete required steps that include drug testing and parenting classes.
A source close to Jenelle told E! News:
“Jenelle was stunned that the judge did not give her back the kids. They are all for the time being remaining with their respective caregivers.”
Kaiser is now reportedly staying with Griffith, while Jace and Ensley are staying with Jenelle’s mother, Barbara. The children were removed from the couple’s care earlier this month.
A rep for Jenelle told E! News:
“At this time we are cooperating with the judge and legal team from court. We have no comment at this time and appreciate the concerns regarding our client and her children. We will continue to cooperate with the court and their decisions.”
Jenelle previously confirmed that her husband killed her French bulldog, Nugget, because the dog snapped at their 2-year-old daughter. She said:
“David killed my dog Nugget because he snapped at my 2-year-old, Ensley. He doesn’t put up with that and those are his beliefs. He just took her and shot her in the woods … about two acres away from the house.”
The mom of three said she was distraught about the situation and was considering a divorce from her husband.
David was put under investigation for animal cruelty by local authorities and Animal Control after the shooting. It’s unclear if the investigation is still ongoing.
Jenelle and David will reportedly return to court on Tuesday. Both have been fired from “Teen Mom 2.”
