Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason are now the owners of two new puppies.
The newest additions to their family come nearly two months after David allegedly shot Jenelle’s French bulldog, Nugget.
As Dearly previously reported, David allegedly beat and killed Nugget after the dog reportedly nipped at their 2-year-old daughter Ensley. However, recent developments suggest that Evans made up the story for publicity and that she simply couldn’t find her French bulldog.
According to a statement issued by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office:
“Jenelle stated that the reason she filed the animal cruelty report was for the publicity and because she did not know where her dog was. The evidence collected indicates that the allegations of animal cruelty were fabricated. Therefore, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is closing this investigation. No charges will be filed in this case.”
Jenelle has since denied the allegation, saying that she did not lie about what happened to her dog.
Nonetheless, Jenelle and David are now introducing their new fury companions in a YouTube video titled, “Meet our new puppies Buddy and Junior!”
David explained in the description why he and Jenelle decided to get two new dogs:
Recently we had to find a better way of protecting our chickens and livestock. We have hawks and crows always eating the heads off our chickens and plastic owls are not doing the trick. Our pit bull Jax killed and maimed on of our pigs that was around 80lbs. With that in mind plus the many chickens Jax killed and ate we decided to give him to a friend. After lots of research we came across this breed of dog called the Anatolian Shepherd. They are one of the most unique types of dog I have ever seen and have the best temperament and disposition of any dog I have ever owned. They are a livestock guardian breed and do not mind eating and sleeping with all our animals on The Land!
While filming Buddy, viewers can hear David in the background talking as if he was the dog:
“SayI’m the sweetest. Chickens are my favorite cause I’m a livestock guardian dog. So chickens are my favorite.’ And sayI sleep with chickens. I sleep with goats. I sleep with pigs.”
David called Buddy the “sweetest boy ever” and “so gentle,” adding that both Buddy and Junior are Anatolian Shepherds.
David added that both Buddy and Junior are “very calm” and that they don’t even jump on people. They also love all animals and love following David and Jenelle everywhere they go.
