Indiana Man Arrested On Charges Of Making A Murder As It Was Found That He Had Link With Megan Nichols Illinois Cold Case

Wednesday – An Indiana man was arrested on charges of making a murder. The arrest was held in order of him a connection with the 2014 murder of an Illinois teen namely, Megan Nichols whose body was found in a shallow grave three years ago.

Indiana who has been identified as the 24-year-old Brodey Murbarger who got arrested outside his job without incident.

According to the police report, Megan Nichols was 15-year-old when she went missing from her Illinois home located in Fairfield. She was slotted for the case of ‘missing’ until in 2018 as her remains were found in a field in rural Wayne County.

Since that time, the FBI along with other law enforcement organizations including the County Sheriff’s Office and the Evansville Police Department have been working with closed hands to find out what happened to Nichols. However, getting a lead about Murbarger’s connection with the murder. It’s been expected that the truth behind Megan Nichols’ murder will come out soon. For now, Murbarger has been arrested and transported and has been imprisoned in Vanderburgh County Jail.

There are few reports which say that Megan Nichols and Brodey Murbarger had previously dated but for now FBI hasn’t given confirmation regarding this yet.

The court document says that Murbarger has been indicted on three counts of first-degree murder, one count of concealment of a homicidal death, and two counts of a home invasion. Also, the documents show that he is accused of strangling and suffocating Megan and burying her in a shallow grave.
