‘He’s Killing Me’: Florida Man Accused Of Slashing Girlfriend’s Throat In Front Of Their 3-Year-Old Son

by San Eli News

A Florida man is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death in front of the couple’s 3-year-old son.

Kacey Wilson, 28, is now charged with murder in the first degree in the death of his girlfriend Belkis Rosales after she was discovered Wednesday in the couple’s home with her throat slashed, just minutes after she’d placed a harrowing call to 911 pleading for help.

“He’s stabbing me! Stop! Kacey, stop! Why would you do this to me? Stop,” Rosales could be heard screaming on the call, according to an arrest report obtained by The Miami Herald. “I’m dying.”

Rosales and Wilson could both be heard screaming for police to hurry and telling the dispatcher that Rosales was bleeding before the line went dead.

The Broward County dispatcher was able to re-establish contact with Wilson, who identified himself by name and claimed that Rosales had tried to stab him, before the line went dead again.

The dispatcher made contact with Wilson again a third time and urged him to stay at the home and tried to talk him through CPR, but Wilson was “evasive,” according to the report. Although he claimed he was still at the home, investigators said audio from the tape made it “apparent” he was “inside a moving vehicle.”

Police discovered Rosales at around 8:20 a.m., dead in a pool of blood on the kitchen floor of the home. The couple’s 3-year-old son—who was present during the brutal attack—was “hiding and crying in an upstairs bedroom closet,” the arrest report said.

Wilson was arrested and taken into custody around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Rosales mother allegedly told detectives the pair, who had purchased their home together in 2017, had a “rocky relationship.”

The mother also told police that Rosales had driven her to work the morning of the attack and that Wilson had called during the drive to tell Rosales he was going to lose his job and it was her fault, according to the arrest report.

“She indicated that there is a past history of domestic disturbances, with a recent one in June, during which Kacey threatened to kill himself with a box cutter,” authorities said.

Wilson had also been accused of abuse in several previous relationships. According to Broward County court records obtained by the Herald, one woman took out a restraining order against him in 2011 for dating violence. Another took out a restraining order, which was extended for a full year, in 2013 for dating violence.

He pleaded no contest in 2012 to a prowling/loitering and trespassing charge and paid a $333 fine.

Wilson is currently being held without bond, according to WFOR-TV.

The couple’s son is currently being cared for by loved ones.

“The son is okay and in the care of immediate family members,” Sunrise Police Officer Luis Fernandez told The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
