A two-year-old girl sent her mother’s revealing photos to contacts in her phone, including ex co-workers and university classmates.
30-year-old mom Emily Schmitt from Ohio, US allowed her daughter Carsyn to play with her mobile while she was drying her hair last weekend.
But at one point, Emily noticed that Carsyn was photographing her while she was naked and was sending the shots to a large number of her contacts on Snapchat.
As soon as she got a message from a colleague saying “thanks for the nude”, Emily understood what had happened.
Her child had sent the nudes to 15 people, including her mother’s old university friends, someone she knew from an old job, former clients, and colleagues.
The ashamed mom then sent an apology to everyone and while some of them confirmed they received a nude, others said they got a shot of the ceiling or of the child’s foot.
Despite her embarrassment, Emily decided to make the story public to make people laugh.
She said:
“I was mortified. I literally think I died for a minute then came back to life so I could tell people what happened.
“It’s so funny – this child of mine is wild. We just say she’s feral – she cannot be tamed.
“My parents own the real estate brokerage that I work for. To make matters even worse I walked in the next day and my dad, who’s the broker, was like ‘oh look, here comes the company porn star’.
“I was like ‘okay, I quit. I’m done’.
“It’s just a joke all round here and I thought it’s a dark, twisted world at the moment so sharing something on a Monday morning to make people laugh would help out.”
Emily had been preparing to go out for a house viewing when she got an unexpected call from her friend, who warned her of the virality of her nudes.
“I was getting ready to get started and my phone notified me someone had sent me a message on Snapchat.
“It was actually one of my fellow agents that works with me. She just said ‘thanks for the nudes’.
“I responded ‘what?’ But I just knew.
“I remember that morning Carsyn had my phone while I was getting ready.
“I said ‘what?’ and she immediately called me. Ashley, my agent, was like ‘Emily, I don’t know how to explain this and I wasn’t going to say anything because, like, it’s okay. But I think one of your kids had your phone this morning’.
“I just said ‘yes. Yes, they did’.”
After talking to Ashley, Emily found out her baby girl had sent Snapchat photos to 15 contacts – including a university friend who had a crush on her mom back in the days.
