Fuming about an unrequited love, a Florida man allegedly set a lady ablaze after checking out she was during a relationship together with his stepfather, consistent with a report.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office 53-year-old, Luis Angel Quinonez, has been accused of dousing 61-year-old Angelica Acosta Blanco, with gasoline and igniting her, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

At 10:30 p.m. on Monday, firefighters responding to the house in Lantana found Quinonez employing a hose on the burning woman after she ran outside, consistent with the news outlet.

The Investigators were informed that Luis was furious about the romantic relationship between Acosta and his stepfather, Feliberto Alvarez, because he also was in love with her, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition then flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami with second- and third-degree burns.

Her condition wasn’t immediately available.
