DRIVER ACCUSED OF KILLING TWO KIDS AS HE DROVE ONTO THE GOLF COURSE

Two young siblings were killed last week when a person drove onto a golf course in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Authorities identified Scott Donaldson as the driver. He is believed to have driven his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado onto the Coconut Creek Golf and Maze on Friday, Panama City Beach police said. A 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl, (identity unknown) were hit as they were playing mini-golf with their family.

One died at the scene, and therefore the other died at a hospital. The family was visiting from Louisville, Kentucky, a spokeswoman for the town told The Associated Press.

The golf course remained closed on Saturday, consistent with a Facebook post that included a Bible verse about grief: “Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

The police traffic homicide unit is investigating.

“This may be a tragic event and our thoughts and prayers leave to the family,” police spokesperson Debbie Ward said during a statement. “We have had grief counselors and clergy with the family since this happened.”
