Cop fired for fatally shooting a black unarmed man.

On Thursday, after fatally shooting an unarmed black man, the Texas police officer was fired, says the officials.

In a statement, the Wolfe City Officials said that the 22-years-old Shaun Lucas was fired for, “for an egregious violation of the City’s and police department’s policies.” No further information was provided by the officials on Lucas’s firing and the deadly shooting that occurred.

Lucas is facing the charges of homicide for shooting the 31-years-old Jonathan Price, at a gas station in Kwick Check. According to the witnesses, Price was trying to break up a fight of a couple when he was shot and killed.

Texas-Rangers were asked to investigate the incident by the Wolfe City Officials. After the incident, Lucas was placed on an administrative leave. Later on, he was arrested on the charges of murder.

After an arrest warrent obtained by the KXII, after Lucas arrived on the scene, Price reached to him do a handshake and asked, “You doing good?” Price also apologized for the broken glass laid on the ground and informed Lucas that, “someone had tried to wrap me up.”

In a statement Lucas told to the Texas Rangers that Price was intoxicated and he reportedly said that, “I can’t be detained,” when he tried to detain him.

The official affidavit documents reported, “While being tased, Price continued to walk toward Officer Lucas. Price appeared to grab the end of Officer Lucas’ Taser. Officer Lucas discharged his firearm a fourth time striking Price in the upper torso. Price was later pronounced deceased at Hunt County Regional Hospital.”

According to the attorney representing Price’s family, Price convulsed from the electrical current that came from the laser.

Lucas wore a bodycam at the time of shooting. Officials did not release the footage of the fatal encounter.

Lucas is jailed at a bond of $1 million.
