A 19-year-old California lady vanished almost fourteen days back — after evidently being terminated from her position at a Home Depot, her troubled family said in a report distributed Monday.
The last time any of Veta Belford’s family members saw her was on Oct. 17, when the youngster’s father dropped her off at a Home Depot in Sacramento for her 2 p.m. move, her more established sister, Easter Kitiona told NBC’s “Dateline.”
In any case, when Belford’s mother came to get her at around 11:30 p.m., the high schooler was mysteriously absent.
Belford’s mother was told by a supervisor that her little girl had left before that evening after being canned, Kitana said.
“What we don’t comprehend is the reason she didn’t call somebody for a ride,” her sister said.
“She just left the parking garage and that was it. We don’t have the foggiest idea where she would go or who she would meet. It doesn’t bode well.”
The teenager’s mother documented a missing people report with the Sacramento Police Department soon afternoon on Oct. 18 — while loved ones cruised all over searching for her, the report said.
Relatives attempted to call the youngster, however, her telephone was off, which was “unusual,” her sister stated, adding that Belford had a telephone charger on her.
Belford is a business executive major at Sacramento State and an adolescent chief at the family’s congregation. There’s no motivation behind why she would leave all alone and not tell anybody, her sister said.
“She’s exceptionally engaged with chapel and loves her part with the young,” Kitana said. “We don’t accept that she would simply leave… so we’re simply stressed over her.”
The family is trusting that outreach via web-based media will prompt a few hints in their sister’s case.
“We simply need to realize that she’s sheltered,” Kitana said. “We trust somebody will see her photographs and offer clues.”
Belford is 5’4″ tall, weighs around 215 pounds, and has earthy colored eyes and dark hair. She was last known to be wearing a caramel/orange striped wool shirt, denim pants, a rainbow ring, and a little crossbody sack.
