Boat Crew Sails Upon A Mysterious Floating Beach In The Middle Of The Ocean

by San Eli News

The crew of the Maiken were reminded just how incredible Mother Nature is when they spotted something totally unexpected in the water.
As the Maiken sailed through the ocean waters, the crew noticed a large discoloration in the water ahead. When they went to get a closer look, they noticed what looked like  sand floating on top of the water.
As the crew navigated through what looked like a beach in the middle of the ocean, bubbles begin to erupt all around them. They didn’t truly understand what was taking place until they were a few hundred yards past the floating sand and rock.
The crew of the Maiken was sailing the South Pacific when they noticed an unusual shadow.

Upon first glance the shadow appeared to be a sandbar, but upon further inspection…the shadow was not a sandbar. It was in fact something, very, very different.

A large mass of pumice stone was floating to the surface of the water. It looked like a beach floating in the middle of the ocean.

As the crew sailed through it, a break in the stone was left behind them.

What do you think could have caused this expanse of stone to appear?

As they continued to sail through it, the field of pumice got even larger. The crew started to feel uneasy and upped their speed.

After they sailed through the stone field, the crew looked back and saw water bubbling from the surface.

What they were witnessing was truly amazing! The source of the stone was actually an active underwater volcano that was erupting!

They dropped the anchor to watch such a magnificent sight. Vast amounts of smoke filled the sky.

Once the smoke cleared they saw something strange upon the water’s surface…

 Land Ho!

The stunned crew couldn’t believe what they were seeing: a new island was being born right before their eyes.

Talk about a once in a lifetime opportunity. The crew actually witnessed a new landform being created right in front of their eyes! Wow!
