It’s been a long road for the Irwin family since 2006 when they tragically lost their loving father and famed wildlife expert, Steve Irwin.
But now, they’ve decided to follow in his footsteps.
Terri Irwin and her two children, 20-year-old Bindi and 14-year-old Robert, currently run the Australia Zoo in Queensland.
And just like Steve, they’re going to give fans an inside look at their lives as “wildlife warriors” with a new show on Animal Planet, Bindi revealed on Instagram.
It’s the same network in which Steve rose to fame on the hit television series, “The Crocodile Hunter.”
Bindi announced their new show, “Crikey! It’s the Irwins!” will premiere next month. She wrote on Instagram:
I am so happy to announce that our brand new Animal Planet series will premiere on October 28th. ?? We can’t wait to share our story with you as we continue Dad’s important work. This feels like a beautiful new life chapter. I hope to see you there.
In a teaser for the new show, Terri, Bindi, and Robert talk about their exciting life at the Australia Zoo. Bindi said in the clip:
“We’re all about carrying on in our dad’s footsteps.”
“The Crocodile Hunter” premiered in 1996 and ran until 2007, a year after Steve’s death.
His children have continued his mission of protecting wildlife and often appear on television programs to promote conservation.
Their show, “Crikey! It’s the Irwins!” will premiere on October 28.
