Another Countywide Spike. Visiters To El Paso Now Counted.

SAN ELIZARIO, TEXAS – Today’s numbers, as reported by both the City of El Paso and the County of El Paso are as follows:

There is one new death to report. This was a male in his 40s. It is being reported that he had underlying conditions.

There are also 71 newly diagnosed cases within the County of El Paso.

Corona virus numbers from correctional facilities will next be posted Sunday, 17 May 2020.

71 Newly diagnosed cases countywide – another significant increase.

2,423 total tests given by the Dept. of Public Health Lab. 120 tests administered/reported in the last twenty-four hours by the City/County of El Paso. 18,100 administered in total, countywide. 

Not counted in El Paso’s cases are 44 positive cases of individuals from other communities outside of the county, who have been tested and/or treated in El Paso. Of those numbers 25 are residents of Chihuahua, Mexico; 17 are New Mexico residents; and two (2) are Texas residents who are not El Paso County residents. Of the 44 cases, two males from Chihuahua (one in his 50s and another in his 80s) passed away.
