This year the Christmas service at San Pablo Lutheran Church happens this evening at 7 p.m.
“If there is any special day,” says Pastor Heimer, “for Christians to celebraite, it’s the birth of Jesus.”
Pastor Heimer does acknowledge that there are other special days throughout the year, but it is important to celebrate the birth of a child, especially one as important as the Son of God
“This day is,” says Pastor Heimer, “is the most blessed of them all.”
What can you expect if you attend the Christmas service at San Pablo?
The evening will begin with a Posada with Mariachi San Pablo. They will also provide music for the service.
There will be a reenactment of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, provided by the children of San Pablo Lutheran Church.
A portion of the service will be a candlelight service, singing Silent Night and conclude with Go Tell It on the Mountian.
After the service, there will be tamalies, champurrado and bunuelos.
